Kamba Ramayana A study 14. The brothers come back to find an empty cottage and a few clarifications!

In the meantime Lakshmana had found Rama and they both hurried home with a beating heart. Sita was not there and the tender-hearted husband was convulsed with greif. There were the marks of heavy feet and the trail of heavy chariot on the ground near by...They followed the trail and saw the bleeding Vulture-king, he told them that Sita was carried off by Ravana and died with the name of Rama upon his lips. .. A grieving Rama performed Jatayu's obsequies and swore a great oath once again that he would uproot the whole race of Rakshas.

In the previous blog I had asked:
It appears that destiny once ordained by gods, as in this case, there is no hope of escape. If one has to apply one's belief in karma, our fate is the result of our actions, it does get confusing! I am sure there are answers, we just need to dig deep!
Sriram clarified:
Adi Shankaracharya's Tattva Bodha (understanding of truth) says that for a realized person (Jeevanmukta) Sanchita Karma (It is the sum of one's past karmas – all actions (good and bad) from one's past life follow through to the next life.) is wiped clean but Prarabdha Karma (It is complex, read  wikipedia) has to exhaust itself. The confusing aspect is that there has to be an Agami Karma (that comes next) because the Jeevanmuka is still acting in this world, but instead of it going into that person's account, it gets transferred to the surrounding people according to their intentions towards the Jeevanmukta, a double whammy if you will! Examples of Ravana and Kamsa were given in the commentary, with the note that you should stay neutral towards sadhus and saints instead of criticizing them, as otherwise it will bounce back to add to your own bad Karma from that action!Still trying to get full clarification.

I quote from a study of TM, Transcendental consciousness, on individual brains!
An important aspect of the orienting mechanisms in the model are neural reference systems, coordinated by a hippocampal-based comparator, that evaluates the changing configuration of both stimulus and brain state. The coherent integration of cortical-thalamic processing loops would lead to a global state of neural integration corresponding to a transcendental state of awareness.

While waiting for further inputs, consider the system required to monitor our individual karma. Brain Research and our own experience, tells us that our brain, with its many billions of human brain cells, is indeed capable of retaining all that has happened to us. The next step is to imagine a super brain, which collects and collates all this humongous data, stores it at some point and makes it available to the dispenser of our destinies. This super brain would deal today with 7 billion human brains plus those added at the rate of 143k per day. Also keep track of these souls through their cycle of rebirth and death. As we have many religions with many beliefs, this super system will have to cater for all these. Truly complicated!

Then when you think of the size of our mother earth, infinitesimally small compared to the size of the universe,  a 2010 study by astronomers estimated that the observable Universe contains 300 sextillion (3×1023) stars.(wikipedia). That is 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars, and if you believe that there are other intelligent beings in the universe, you may be tempted to give up!

While all this is mind boggling, we should feel encouraged that there has been a quest for answers and it is not just seers and sages of the old, it is now science. While it is possible that we may never fully understand, we can appreciate the efforts made. Wonder how many realized persons are there today?

Hope you get this comment!
A very complex blog. The scriptures have kindled a thought process in you which will keep you company till the neural circuits are functioning well. As far as proximity to sadhus et al I would like to add that excessive proximity is also hazardous a'la Yediyurappa. The stance pf the present incumbent is encouaging.
